"This book is like a shot of tequila at the beginning of an unforgettable night. Appropriately so, because serving tequila to guests right when they arrive at our house for a night of revelry is a party trick Bronson van Wyck taught me - and one I highly recommend. In his book, Bronson shows us that being a great host is something we can all achieve. This beautiful book is a fun gift for those who like to entertain, and for the anxious host as well."—Jessica Seinfeld"I've watched Bronson van Wyck grow up, as he's turned his passion into a profession. Born to Party, Forced to Work is an inspiring, beautifully written read for anyone who's ever wondered how to make a career out of doing what you love. Bronson's sincerity, graciousness, and sly sense of humor come across in every page. And the pictures of the events make you feel like you were there yourself."—Diane von Furstenberg"Every party Bronson van Wyck designs is a party you want to attend. And every party is a creative tour de force, full of innovation, great music, wonderful decoration, and an all-encompassing friendly ambience. Energy, joie de vivre, incomparable glamour, vivaciousness, and otherworldly beauty are just a few of the building blocks Bronson employs to accomplish his wizardry at any party venue. This evocative book captures so much of Bronson's work and evokes the range of his amazing talents."—Martha Stewart"[F]unny, informative, and endearing... The book gives readers a peek inside a rarefied world, but never takes itself too seriously, which makes it not only a fine primer for aspiring hosts, but a truly delicious read as well."—Town & Country OnlineBronson van Wyck began his career as a protocol aide to Ambassador Pamela Harriman in Paris, where he was responsible for nightly diplomatic receptions at the American Embassy. In 1999, he founded Van Wyck & Van Wyck, an event firm that produces celebrations ranging from weddings and dinner parties to international destination experiences and not-for-profit galas. He is a founding member and trustee of the Friends of the High Line.

The internationally acclaimed event producer shows his ideas and inspiration for ultimate and intimate celebrations

What defines a truly great party? Most of all: generosity of spirit. In his first book, Bronson van Wyck, the man Vogue called 'The Wizard of Oz of New York party planning,' distills the essential pillars of the art of celebration into one volume, with examples drawn from his many successes - and, admittedly, a few entertaining failures. Lusciously illustrated with images from van Wyck's most spectacular events, this is the perfect primer on throwing parties that are as much fun to give as they are to attend.

Title: Principles of Economics Pdf
Author: N. Gregory Mankiw
Published Date: 2016-12-05
Page: 888

N. Gregory Mankiw is Professor of Economics at Harvard University. As a student, he studied economics at Princeton University and MIT. As a teacher, he has taught macroeconomics, microeconomics, statistics, and principles of economics. He even spent one summer long ago as a sailing instructor on Long Beach Island. Professor Mankiw is a prolific writer and a regular participant in academic and policy debates. His work has been published in scholarly journals such as the American Economic Review, Journal of Political Economy, and Quarterly Journal of Economics, and in more popular forums such as The New York Times, The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Fortune. He is also author of the best-selling intermediate-level textbook Macroeconomics (Worth Publishing). In addition to his teaching, research, and writing, Professor Mankiw has been a research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research, an adviser to the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and the Congressional Budget Office, and a member of the Educational Testing Service (ETS) test development committee for the advanced placement exam in economics. From 2003 to 2005, he served as Chairman of the President's Council of Economic Advisers.

Now you can master the principles of economics with the help of the most popular, widely-used economics textbook by students worldwide -- Mankiw's PRINCIPLES OF ECONOMICS, 8E. With its clear and engaging writing style, this book emphasizes only the material that will help you better understand the world in which you live, will make you a more astute participant in the economy, and will give you a better understanding of both the potential and limits of economic policy. The latest relevant economic examples bring principles to life. Acclaimed text author N. Gregory Mankiw explains, "I have tried to put myself in the position of someone seeing economics for the first time. My goal is to emphasize the material that students should and do find interesting about the study of the economy." Powerful student-focused digital resources are available in leading MindTap and Aplia digital learning and homework solutions that reinforce the principles presented in this edition.

Good book to introduce yourself to economics Let’s be real, this wasn’t a book for leisure. Although I didn’t enjoy reading it, I learned a lot about economics. It was a very comprehensive book, and it made topics not too overwhelming.Decent Book is in pretty poor condition. There’s a huge piece of black duck tape on the front. Markings to hard cover are evident. The inside pages are undamaged.Great money saver Awesome to be able to rent a book instead of buy it out right.

Gypsy Truths (All The Pretty Monsters Book 6) Pdf

ISBN: B07X7NVH9X
Title: Gypsy Truths (All The Pretty Monsters Book 6) Pdf
After spending the vast majority of my life lonely, I came to this town to find answers about my mother, and instead, stumbled upon a secret society full of monsters I never knew existed outside of dark tales.

Now I've built a sanctuary, gotten in the middle of an ages-old feud between various monster factions, and somehow ended up with an ancient, queen-like tyrant targeting me, because my life sucks sometimes.

I don't know how these things keep happening to me. They just do.

Tensions keep climbing, and everyone's on edge while waiting and watching to see what Idun Neopry does next.

In the midst of all that, the secrets spill, the lies unravel, and the half-truths finally come to full fruition. It's been one hellish snowball ride to make it this far, and I'm mostly ready for anything that comes next.

That's a lie, actually. But I'd like for it to be the truth. For now, hoping for the best is all I have. Well, I guess that's a lie too. Hope's not all I have.

I also have a Van Helsing, who can slay a small army without wrinkling his shirt. Then there's a Morpheous, who can toy with my mind in ways I never imagined. I've got a wolf, who makes it a goal to keep me human-ish. And there's a vampire, who enjoys killing and stabbing.

Ancient alphas, old vendettas, super-complicated histories, mass-death threats, and a lot of personal baggage. That's become a Tuesday morning coffee break to me by now.

Like I said, my life sucks sometimes.

😱 Wow.Okay, first things first, what the hell amazon?!I have Kristy set up as “following” so why didn’t I get a notification that my Precious was released?!?Anywho.......So it’s book 6 and Damien finally delt with Dorian, after Violet kicked his ass. Kinda. A little. The guys finally get to see Violets monster in person. It’s kinda weird reading the different perspectives on that. Violet sees herself as a dangerous monster, and the guys have a different view.Anna now has some new friends. Who freak the guys out. And one of them turned Emits fur white. From fear.We still haven’t learned who Jaspers father is.Idun got a really nasty surprise. She’s having some second thoughts that are giving birth to 3rd and 5th thoughts.Pandora really is crazy. I wonder if she’s a pure sociopath? Or just not capable of most emotions anymore? Will they War or won’t they? That question finally gets an answer. Then a slight spoiler.....After the last chapter, Kristy gives us a sneak peak into what live is like 30 years from now. Violet is happily running Sanctuary and her store. He guys make her happy. And Jasper is a grown ass man. Who may have some glitches with his powers. But that’s to be expected since he wasn’t a normal shifter to begin with. Then I guess it ends on a cliff hanger? If you can count a vampire bawling his eyes out as a possible intro to the next story?Unpopular opinion I’m sure I have read every book by CM and will continue to do so but I just couldn’t even finish this book... I stopped reading at 87%. There were just so many moving parts to this series that it was difficult to keep up. And I know she has a reason for making this final book so long but it failed to keep my attention for more than a few pages. I almost didn’t post this review because CM is the ONLY author I read as of late bc I got tired of reading but I was just disappointed in this book.Hmmm at least we have a happy ending, Disappointed I am a huge fan of this Author and I know she stated it was two books in one but Holy Cow was this book dragged out.I found myself skimming which I usually don't with her books but as I said every part was dragged out especially the fight between Violet and Idun. The fight scene was blah at best buy at least we have all the ghosts and their quirks especially Anna.Overall I found this book to be really disappointing. I still have it 3 Stars for overall series.

Lucky Dog Lessons Download

ISBN: 0062479024
Title: Lucky Dog Lessons Pdf Train Your Dog in 7 Days

The celebrity dog trainer and Emmy-winning star of the CBS show Lucky Dog shares his training system to transform any dog—from spoiled purebred puppy to shelter-shocked rescue—into a model companion in just seven days.

Each week on Lucky Dog, Brandon McMillan rescues an untrained, unwanted, "unadoptable" shelter dog. In the days that follow, these dogs undergo a miraculous transformation as they learn to trust McMillan, master his 7 Common Commands, and overcome their behavior problems—ultimately becoming well-mannered pets and even service dogs. With his labor of love complete, McMillan unites each dog with a forever family. Now, in his first book, McMillan shares the knowledge he has gained working with thousands of dogs of every breed and personality to help readers turn their own pets into well-trained Lucky Dog graduates.

Lucky Dog Lessons begins with the basics—building trust, establishing focus and control, and mastering training techniques. From there, McMillan explains his playful, careful, and kind approach to training the 7 Common Commands he teaches every dog: SIT, STAY, DOWN, COME, OFF, HEEL, and NO. Next, McMillan provides solutions to common canine behavior problems, including house training issues, door dashing, chewing, barking, and common mealtime misbehaviors. Lucky Dog Lessons includes easy-to-follow steps, illustrative examples, tried-and-true tips and tricks, and photographs to demonstrate each technique. Throughout the book, McMillan shares inspiring stories about his favorite students and gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at the show and some of his most unique and challenging canine encounters, including some never-before-seen outtakes.

Brandon McMillian believes that no dog is beyond saving, and the loving, positive, successful methods he offers will work wonders with even the most challenging dog. Create the happy pet family you want with Lucky Dog Lessons.

Loving, kind, no nonsense techniques... I have watched Brandon on Lucky Dog for at least 2 years and liked his approach to dog training. I recently adopted a 3 year old dog that came with no history but some significant issues. I bought Brandon’s book and read it cover to cover before rereading the sections that addressed issues I needed to address immediately. What I appreciated about Brandon’s book is he gives you different ways to teach commands or change a behavior based on how your dog responds to you. My dog came from the streets of Istanbul Turkey with no social manners and aggression issues. We have made great progress in a short amount of time using Brandon’s kind, loving no nonsense techniques.I bought this book because my 14 week old golden ... I bought this book because my 14 week old golden retriever puppy was stressing me out! I had done a lot of researching online for training techniques and honestly, nothing was really working. So i researched books for training dogs and came across Lucky Dog Lessons. I had never seen the show before or heard of it. But decided to buy it based off the massive amounts of five star reviews. The book is in hardback right now, so was a little more pricier. But absolutely worth the price as it really does work. One major problem with my dog is not knowing the 'NO' command. I read this section on it and he gives step by step training for it. I practiced it with my dog, i'm literally on day one working on this, and it's already working. My dog is NOT chill and i was doubtful she'd be able to control herself. But it didnt take long for her to stop going for the treat immediately. She is learning it quick! Yes, i was skeptical at how simple the training step was... but it worked!! Can't wait to dig through the rest of the book and work on his other commands. My little girl and i are bonding more and more, thanks to this book. I just started his training this morning, 5/5/18, and i already feel less stressed out and angry.Stella and her "parents" thank you! I chose this book in the beginning because we have a six month old Yellow Lab named Stella. We are older and she is a bundle of energy. We were beginning to think that we were in over our heads and then we found Brandon McMillan and he taught us how to really enjoy her by training her to be a well-mannered puppy. It's been a lot of work , both on Stella's part and ours but Brandon made it so down to earth and easy to understand. His love for dogs is apparent on every page of this book. I loved this book!!

The Jesus Storybook Bible Download

ISBN: 0310708257
Title: The Jesus Storybook Bible Pdf Every Story Whispers His Name
Author: Sally Lloyd-Jones
Published Date: 2007
Page: 348

“I LOVE to give people The Jesus Storybook Bible because from the very first chapter it paints a powerful picture of God’s epic love for each one of us. Sally Lloyd-Jones has a unique way of inviting the reader, young or old, to dive in and discover for themselves the truth and hope of the greatest story ever told.” Amy Grant (Amy Grant)“Sharing the Gospel with The Jesus Storybook Bible has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.” Ann Voskamp (Ann Voskamp)“I would urge not just families with young children to get this book, but every Christian–from pew warmers, to ministry leaders, seminarians and even theologians! Sally Lloyd-Jones has captured the heart of what it means to find Christ in all the scriptures, and has made clear even to little children that all God’s revelation has been about Jesus from the beginning–a truth not all that commonly recognized even among the very learned.” – Dr. Timothy Keller, NYC (Dr. Timothy Keller)“The Jesus Storybook Bible is unlike any other storybook. True, that’s to be expected when you combine the mesmerizing illustrations of Jago and the award-winning writing of Sally Lloyd-Jones, a Brit with an uncanny knack for storytelling.” More to Life Magazine (More to Life Magazine)“The Jesus Storybook Bible is as theological as it is charming… a very grown up children’s Bible” –Christianity Today (Christianity Today)The Jesus Storybook Bible is, in my opinion, one of the best resources available to help both children and adults see the Jesus-centered story line of the Bible. Tullian Tchividjian , Senior Pastor of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church (PCA, Fort Lauderdale, FL.) In the interests of full disclosure, let me reveal that I had the privilege of reading the manuscript of this book several years ago as a theological consultant to Zondervan, the publisher. I did not know, however, of the fulsome thanks to my husband Tim in the acknowledgments until I received my review copy a few days ago. Sally Lloyd-Jones, a Redeemer member for many years, has done a wondrous thing. She has captured the plot line of redemption in a children's story Bible that sings the praise of Jesus and his saving grace on every page, in every story. Most children's books of Bible stories are little more than a Christianized version of Aesop's fables, or at best, a Christian adventure cartoon. But Sally goes out of her way in the first pages of the book to reclaim the true story of the Bible: not a book of rules, nor a book of heroes, but: “The Bible is most of all a Story…It's like the most wonderful of fairy tales that has come true in real life! You see, the best thing about this Story is--it's true! There are lots of stories in the Bible, but all the stories are telling one Big Story. The Story of how God loves his children and comes to rescue them.” This is heady theology, often missed in adult preaching and teaching, but fully realized in an age appropriate and attractive form that will delight children and often (at least for me) leave the grown up reader in tears. More wondrously, she has avoided the moralism and legalism that so often characterizes Christian educational materials for children. For five years I worked as an editor of children's curriculum, requiring me to review, edit, and sometimes write Sunday school material for children. It is very hard to find (or even produce) material for children that doesn't essentially contain the message “Be good, so that God, your heavenly Father, will love you, and your earthly parents will be happy with you, too.” To discover The Jesus Storybook Bible is to have a unique resource for communicating the gospel to children in all it's fullness. I hope that every family, and even people without young children, would get a copy of this book just to remind them of what the Real Story of the Bible is all about. -- Kathy Keller

If you are a parent, grandparent, pastor, or teacher looking for a way to teach the children in your life about God’s “Never Stopping, Never Giving up, Unbreaking, Always and Forever Love,” look no further than The Jesus Storybook Bible.

What makes The Jesus Storybook Bible different from every other Kids’ Bible?

While other Kids’ Bibles contain stories from the Old and New Testaments, The Jesus Storybook Bible tells the Story beneath all the stories in the Bible, pointing to Jesus as our Savior. From the Old Testament through the New Testament, as the Story unfolds, children will clearly see that Jesus is at the center of God's great story of salvation—and at the center of their story too.

The Jesus Storybook Bible:

• Visually brings scripture to life for children

• Contains 21 stories from the Old Testament

• Contains 23 stories from the New Testament

• Presents the best-loved stories of the Bible in an easy-to-understand format

• Shares how Jesus is at the center of our story

• Features the award-winning illustrations of Jago

• Features the beloved, bestselling writing of Sally Lloyd-Jones

• Is the perfect Kids’ Bible for any age up to 6th grade

For the past ten years, The Jesus Storybook Bible has been the trusted and preferred starting point for thousands and thousands of parents, grandparents, and pastors to teach their kids about the Bible. The beautiful, award-winning illustrations of Jago connect with the bestselling writing of Sally Lloyd-Jones so that the text of Scripture visually comes to life in the minds of children. The Jesus Storybook Bible contains 21 stories from the Old Testament and 23 stories from the New Testament, presented in an easy-to-understand way that makes learning about the Bible as fun for younger children, preschool and below, as it is for older children, kindergarten to sixth grade.

My Twins Love This Bible! Last fall, I started attending a mom's group at our church and they were giving away copies of the Jesus Storybook Bible. I didn't win one that day but my friends told me this book was one of their kids' favorites so I ordered the hardcover copy since it would be easier for us to read and for my kids to look at.The Jesus Storybook Bible contains many stories from both the Old and New Testaments that children would be likely to hear at Sunday School or kids' groups that teach Bible lessons. The book is 351 pages long and contains 21 stories from the Old Testament and 23 stories from the New Testament. Each story ranges from about six to ten pages in length and contains beautiful, colorful pictures that go along with the stories. The pages are glossy and the book is a hardcover, measuring 6 1/2 inches by 7 3/4 inches by 1 inch. Unless otherwise noted, all of the Scripture notations are taken from The Holy Bible, New International Version. When we received this Bible, my kids initially weren't too interested in it but they started asking for me to read it after awhile. My son, especially, loves it and calls it the "Bible book." A lot of times I will find him sitting and looking through the pictures. I love that the stories are paraphrased for kids to make the stories simple and easy to understand, not to mention FUN! The stories are told in words that kids are likely to understand and they are easy for parents to explain if an explanation is needed. I'd say the stories take about ten minutes to read, give or take a few if you take some extra time to explain more of the story or the pictures so they would be great for bedtime stories.I cannot recommend this book enough because my kids LOVE it! They weren't too interested in this Bible at first but now they love it and ask for me to read it fairly often. There are a lot of stories that kids are likely to hear in Sunday School so this would be a great book to help reinforce their learning and understanding of them. I'm so glad we purchased this Bible for my twins, who are now four. It's a fun way for them to learn Bible stories and it would make a great gift for many children!
