older research - still relevant and worth investigating (but you may be opposing mainstream politics in science) Clear and readable for the average undergrad student or self-educated person. Written in common english, not technical jargon. Although space prohibits including the protocols and details of the studies cited in the book, or of the hearings when Becker's knowledge was an expert source, this could be backtracked and accessed in any college's reference system.One disturbing thing is the use of animal experiments in some studies, and a few sketches of the procedures done, and the results. It's not excessively graphic, but is enough to disturb sensitive people. Bear in mind this is knowledge gained in the 80s and before. However, the data gained has not been widely taken up by subsequent scientists, and is in some cases, stonewalled by special interests and internal politics.I recommend it for the non-mainstream thinking, the promising ideas he puts forth, and his insights. Good food for inquiring minds, and future researchers - though it sounds like you may need to do your work in a different country than America, sadly. If limb regrowth and cure of infected bones can be accomplished - just two ideas investigated in a preliminary way - medicine would be much improved. For example, silver as an anti-infective agent, and a micro electromagnetic charge helped two human cases he talked about.His other work is also intriguing - and sad, in that personal/special interests have prevented application or pursuit of what Becker was working on. We've been robbed of much potential.An Extremely Important Read A wildly fascinating book filled with honesty and intrigue. Whether you are just interested in personal health, the effects of bio-electricity, or a student of the occult laws of nature, this book will provide invaluable knowledge -- that I suspect most already know to be true in the deepest corners of their mind. For those not so intimately familiar with the intricacies of either cellular biology or electro magnetism, don't be bogged down by the very technical explanations, because while they are important mechanical descriptions, there are just as important lessons to be learned from the implications of the outcomes of Becker's research and experiments, both macro and microcosmically.My only advice is to take the second-to-last chapter with a pillar of salt. It's easy to understand from where the author speculates about such doom and gloom, and there are important points that can be learned from it, but keep in mind that the human being is ever growing, evolving and adapting, and the power of the mind can overcome all adversity.Must-Read I first read this as a library book after seeing it cited in many a bibliography, and quickly realized that I must own a copy for my own collection. The Body Electric is considered a classic in the field of bio-field research, and for good reason: Becker was one of the first to realize that our bodies are semiconductors of electricity. He was ridiculed at the time, but now the world of medical science takes this fact as a given. As Director Orthopedic Surgery at the VA hospital in Syracuse, he successfully used electrified silver ions to regenerate bone growth in otherwise hopeless medical case. Did you know that young children can regrow severed fingertips? Or that DC currents can be used to anesthetize patients as well as chemical gasses? I sure didn't. Most fascinating of all to me is Becker's theory that humans evolved from crystalline mineral structures in the sea, rather than from plant-like algae. His postulation that magnetic crystals would probably be found to exist in the human brain has since proven to be true and embraced as fact. Becker was a true pioneer.

Go Like Hell is a Wild Ride! I loved this book! My only wish was that it were longer. I hated to see it end. As a teen I followed every Sebring, Daytona and Le Mans race that the author recounts. I lived and breathed car racing in that era, especially the Ford versus Ferrari rivalry. I was also living in Rome, Italy at the time, and the Le Mans race was broadcast on the radio. My friends and I actually listened as the Fords finally won.To this day the GT 40 is my favorite racing car of all time. This book was written just for me and I read it in one sitting. What a great story, and what great research has gone into this book. As others have pointed out the Ford Mark IV end story is short and the book coverage of the next two Le Mans victories is also short -- as they were by older Ford GT 40s and not the Mark IV. But that's small stuff. Go like Hell is a wild ride!A nice summing up of an era Truly, a wonderfully written, almost poetic, look back at the Ferrari-Ford wars of the ‘60s. While the writing is flawless, the same can’t be said for the research . All the major players (make that suits) are mentioned. Three names are notably missing, all engineers: Klaus Arning, Ed Hull and Chuck Carrig. Klaus Arning was largely responsible for the design of the suspension on the Ford GT40 (and Cobra II, and Foyt’s Coyote Indy cars). Ed Hull was the engineer who designed the Ford J-Car which morphed into the Ford Mark IV that won the 1967 Le Mans race. Chuck Carrig was the computer program whiz responsible for design and development of Detroit’s first computer program to calculate suspension geometry, which greatly assisted Klaus Arning in the design of his unique anti-squat/anti-dive suspension of the GT40, in what was a rush job to make the 1964 Le Mans endurance race. The use of a computer as a part of chassis design is mentioned on page 89 (but without crediting the engineers behind the programing).The expression “Go Like Hell” that the author has chosen for the title of this book, while not copyrighted and very much part of the public domain, is used several times in my novel “The Ragged Edge” (published in 1999). The first time I heard it was while listening in to the cockpit chatter of a Chicago-LA flight I happened to be on. The plane had just cleared Chicago airspace and I heard the captain say, in response to the control tower, "time to 'Go like hell.'" I liked the phrase so much I used it to described the impatience of race driver John Wagner, the protagonist of my novel. He loathed standing still and needed to always “go like hell,” whether on the track or, at, the end of book, en route to Chicago, to win back his ex-girlfriend, who had walked out on him. The plane he’s on over L.A. seems to hover in the sky, making Wagner uneasy. “Go like hell” he says under his breath. When he feels the jet thrust come on, forcing him back into his passenger seat, he feels better. — author Richard Nisley.Why aren't there ten stars? For people addicted to the car disease this is one super book. I thought I was pretty tuned in back when Hank Deuce decided to go for Ferrari's jugular. But this book revealed all kinds of stuff I missed-- big and little. Big stuff, like the fact that Enzo Ferrari had an illegitimate son. Little stuff like Bruce McClaren having one leg shorter than the other. Also a detailed description of Carroll Shelby's Cobra and Mustang GT350 operation at Los Angeles airport. And a lot of new info on Ken Miles-- one of my heroes because of his MG Specials. And so much more. I worked for an ad agency on Wilshire Blvd. in L.A. in the mid-'60s and would drive my MG TC home to Redondo Beach on Pacific Coast Highway every night for two reasons: 1. To hear the car's neat exhaust sound in the tunnel under LAX's runway. 2. To drive past the parking lot for Shelby's operation to see row after row of finished Cobras and GT350s. And I would covet them! Big time! Please don't tell God. Weekends were spent at Riverside, Goleta, Laguna Seca and other tracks watching names in this book race. I didn't give Mr. Baime's book Arsenal of Democracy" a very good review because, unlike this Ford/Ferrari book, I didn't really learn anything new. Maybe that's because I've read a lot about Ford in the last 60 years. But Go Like Hell is really one helluva book so go like hell to order it.

Nice to read a book full of facts. This shows the value of having authors that are knowledgeable of what they speak. A lot of good info for anyone interested in the subject of impeachment. I feel much more conversant with the subject now. A perfect time to read a book on this subject.A thoughtful, informed treatise on presidential impeachment The authors concisely explain the process of presidential impeachment and go into detail on how it might (in my opinion, should) be applied to Donald Trump. Instead of a highly partisan diatribe, they offer an analysis of our past presidential impeachments, suggest parallels and dissimilarities to Trump's criminal and dangerous acts and then outline what we can expect next as more and more Trump "impeachables" are revealed. I highly recommend the book for those on any side of the issue to become educated on the immanent end of the soon-to-be-impeached Trump.
