Lucky Dog Lessons Download

ISBN: 0062479024
Title: Lucky Dog Lessons Pdf Train Your Dog in 7 Days

The celebrity dog trainer and Emmy-winning star of the CBS show Lucky Dog shares his training system to transform any dog—from spoiled purebred puppy to shelter-shocked rescue—into a model companion in just seven days.

Each week on Lucky Dog, Brandon McMillan rescues an untrained, unwanted, "unadoptable" shelter dog. In the days that follow, these dogs undergo a miraculous transformation as they learn to trust McMillan, master his 7 Common Commands, and overcome their behavior problems—ultimately becoming well-mannered pets and even service dogs. With his labor of love complete, McMillan unites each dog with a forever family. Now, in his first book, McMillan shares the knowledge he has gained working with thousands of dogs of every breed and personality to help readers turn their own pets into well-trained Lucky Dog graduates.

Lucky Dog Lessons begins with the basics—building trust, establishing focus and control, and mastering training techniques. From there, McMillan explains his playful, careful, and kind approach to training the 7 Common Commands he teaches every dog: SIT, STAY, DOWN, COME, OFF, HEEL, and NO. Next, McMillan provides solutions to common canine behavior problems, including house training issues, door dashing, chewing, barking, and common mealtime misbehaviors. Lucky Dog Lessons includes easy-to-follow steps, illustrative examples, tried-and-true tips and tricks, and photographs to demonstrate each technique. Throughout the book, McMillan shares inspiring stories about his favorite students and gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at the show and some of his most unique and challenging canine encounters, including some never-before-seen outtakes.

Brandon McMillian believes that no dog is beyond saving, and the loving, positive, successful methods he offers will work wonders with even the most challenging dog. Create the happy pet family you want with Lucky Dog Lessons.

Loving, kind, no nonsense techniques... I have watched Brandon on Lucky Dog for at least 2 years and liked his approach to dog training. I recently adopted a 3 year old dog that came with no history but some significant issues. I bought Brandon’s book and read it cover to cover before rereading the sections that addressed issues I needed to address immediately. What I appreciated about Brandon’s book is he gives you different ways to teach commands or change a behavior based on how your dog responds to you. My dog came from the streets of Istanbul Turkey with no social manners and aggression issues. We have made great progress in a short amount of time using Brandon’s kind, loving no nonsense techniques.I bought this book because my 14 week old golden ... I bought this book because my 14 week old golden retriever puppy was stressing me out! I had done a lot of researching online for training techniques and honestly, nothing was really working. So i researched books for training dogs and came across Lucky Dog Lessons. I had never seen the show before or heard of it. But decided to buy it based off the massive amounts of five star reviews. The book is in hardback right now, so was a little more pricier. But absolutely worth the price as it really does work. One major problem with my dog is not knowing the 'NO' command. I read this section on it and he gives step by step training for it. I practiced it with my dog, i'm literally on day one working on this, and it's already working. My dog is NOT chill and i was doubtful she'd be able to control herself. But it didnt take long for her to stop going for the treat immediately. She is learning it quick! Yes, i was skeptical at how simple the training step was... but it worked!! Can't wait to dig through the rest of the book and work on his other commands. My little girl and i are bonding more and more, thanks to this book. I just started his training this morning, 5/5/18, and i already feel less stressed out and angry.Stella and her "parents" thank you! I chose this book in the beginning because we have a six month old Yellow Lab named Stella. We are older and she is a bundle of energy. We were beginning to think that we were in over our heads and then we found Brandon McMillan and he taught us how to really enjoy her by training her to be a well-mannered puppy. It's been a lot of work , both on Stella's part and ours but Brandon made it so down to earth and easy to understand. His love for dogs is apparent on every page of this book. I loved this book!!

The Jesus Storybook Bible Download

ISBN: 0310708257
Title: The Jesus Storybook Bible Pdf Every Story Whispers His Name
Author: Sally Lloyd-Jones
Published Date: 2007
Page: 348

“I LOVE to give people The Jesus Storybook Bible because from the very first chapter it paints a powerful picture of God’s epic love for each one of us. Sally Lloyd-Jones has a unique way of inviting the reader, young or old, to dive in and discover for themselves the truth and hope of the greatest story ever told.” Amy Grant (Amy Grant)“Sharing the Gospel with The Jesus Storybook Bible has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.” Ann Voskamp (Ann Voskamp)“I would urge not just families with young children to get this book, but every Christian–from pew warmers, to ministry leaders, seminarians and even theologians! Sally Lloyd-Jones has captured the heart of what it means to find Christ in all the scriptures, and has made clear even to little children that all God’s revelation has been about Jesus from the beginning–a truth not all that commonly recognized even among the very learned.” – Dr. Timothy Keller, NYC (Dr. Timothy Keller)“The Jesus Storybook Bible is unlike any other storybook. True, that’s to be expected when you combine the mesmerizing illustrations of Jago and the award-winning writing of Sally Lloyd-Jones, a Brit with an uncanny knack for storytelling.” More to Life Magazine (More to Life Magazine)“The Jesus Storybook Bible is as theological as it is charming… a very grown up children’s Bible” –Christianity Today (Christianity Today)The Jesus Storybook Bible is, in my opinion, one of the best resources available to help both children and adults see the Jesus-centered story line of the Bible. Tullian Tchividjian , Senior Pastor of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church (PCA, Fort Lauderdale, FL.) In the interests of full disclosure, let me reveal that I had the privilege of reading the manuscript of this book several years ago as a theological consultant to Zondervan, the publisher. I did not know, however, of the fulsome thanks to my husband Tim in the acknowledgments until I received my review copy a few days ago. Sally Lloyd-Jones, a Redeemer member for many years, has done a wondrous thing. She has captured the plot line of redemption in a children's story Bible that sings the praise of Jesus and his saving grace on every page, in every story. Most children's books of Bible stories are little more than a Christianized version of Aesop's fables, or at best, a Christian adventure cartoon. But Sally goes out of her way in the first pages of the book to reclaim the true story of the Bible: not a book of rules, nor a book of heroes, but: “The Bible is most of all a Story…It's like the most wonderful of fairy tales that has come true in real life! You see, the best thing about this Story is--it's true! There are lots of stories in the Bible, but all the stories are telling one Big Story. The Story of how God loves his children and comes to rescue them.” This is heady theology, often missed in adult preaching and teaching, but fully realized in an age appropriate and attractive form that will delight children and often (at least for me) leave the grown up reader in tears. More wondrously, she has avoided the moralism and legalism that so often characterizes Christian educational materials for children. For five years I worked as an editor of children's curriculum, requiring me to review, edit, and sometimes write Sunday school material for children. It is very hard to find (or even produce) material for children that doesn't essentially contain the message “Be good, so that God, your heavenly Father, will love you, and your earthly parents will be happy with you, too.” To discover The Jesus Storybook Bible is to have a unique resource for communicating the gospel to children in all it's fullness. I hope that every family, and even people without young children, would get a copy of this book just to remind them of what the Real Story of the Bible is all about. -- Kathy Keller

If you are a parent, grandparent, pastor, or teacher looking for a way to teach the children in your life about God’s “Never Stopping, Never Giving up, Unbreaking, Always and Forever Love,” look no further than The Jesus Storybook Bible.

What makes The Jesus Storybook Bible different from every other Kids’ Bible?

While other Kids’ Bibles contain stories from the Old and New Testaments, The Jesus Storybook Bible tells the Story beneath all the stories in the Bible, pointing to Jesus as our Savior. From the Old Testament through the New Testament, as the Story unfolds, children will clearly see that Jesus is at the center of God's great story of salvation—and at the center of their story too.

The Jesus Storybook Bible:

• Visually brings scripture to life for children

• Contains 21 stories from the Old Testament

• Contains 23 stories from the New Testament

• Presents the best-loved stories of the Bible in an easy-to-understand format

• Shares how Jesus is at the center of our story

• Features the award-winning illustrations of Jago

• Features the beloved, bestselling writing of Sally Lloyd-Jones

• Is the perfect Kids’ Bible for any age up to 6th grade

For the past ten years, The Jesus Storybook Bible has been the trusted and preferred starting point for thousands and thousands of parents, grandparents, and pastors to teach their kids about the Bible. The beautiful, award-winning illustrations of Jago connect with the bestselling writing of Sally Lloyd-Jones so that the text of Scripture visually comes to life in the minds of children. The Jesus Storybook Bible contains 21 stories from the Old Testament and 23 stories from the New Testament, presented in an easy-to-understand way that makes learning about the Bible as fun for younger children, preschool and below, as it is for older children, kindergarten to sixth grade.

My Twins Love This Bible! Last fall, I started attending a mom's group at our church and they were giving away copies of the Jesus Storybook Bible. I didn't win one that day but my friends told me this book was one of their kids' favorites so I ordered the hardcover copy since it would be easier for us to read and for my kids to look at.The Jesus Storybook Bible contains many stories from both the Old and New Testaments that children would be likely to hear at Sunday School or kids' groups that teach Bible lessons. The book is 351 pages long and contains 21 stories from the Old Testament and 23 stories from the New Testament. Each story ranges from about six to ten pages in length and contains beautiful, colorful pictures that go along with the stories. The pages are glossy and the book is a hardcover, measuring 6 1/2 inches by 7 3/4 inches by 1 inch. Unless otherwise noted, all of the Scripture notations are taken from The Holy Bible, New International Version. When we received this Bible, my kids initially weren't too interested in it but they started asking for me to read it after awhile. My son, especially, loves it and calls it the "Bible book." A lot of times I will find him sitting and looking through the pictures. I love that the stories are paraphrased for kids to make the stories simple and easy to understand, not to mention FUN! The stories are told in words that kids are likely to understand and they are easy for parents to explain if an explanation is needed. I'd say the stories take about ten minutes to read, give or take a few if you take some extra time to explain more of the story or the pictures so they would be great for bedtime stories.I cannot recommend this book enough because my kids LOVE it! They weren't too interested in this Bible at first but now they love it and ask for me to read it fairly often. There are a lot of stories that kids are likely to hear in Sunday School so this would be a great book to help reinforce their learning and understanding of them. I'm so glad we purchased this Bible for my twins, who are now four. It's a fun way for them to learn Bible stories and it would make a great gift for many children!

Justice for Some Pdf

ISBN: 0804798257
Title: Justice for Some Pdf Law and the Question of Palestine
Author: Noura Erakat
Published Date: 2019
Page: 352

"A radical rethinking of the role of law and legal advocacy in the struggle for Palestinian rights. Noura Erakat tells how a refugee problem became a national liberation movement, and the tragic story of how initiative and momentum were squandered after Oslo. Brilliant, inspiring, coldly realistic―and hopeful." (Duncan Kennedy, Carter Professor of General Jurisprudence Emeritus Harvard Law School)"Through a brilliant and bracing analysis of the Palestine question and settler colonialism, Noura Erakat offers a compelling story of how the antinomies of structure and indeterminacy shaped international law and its possibilities. Justice for Some is a vital lens into movement lawyering on the international plane. At once tragic and inspiring, this book is a must-read for anyone interested in decolonization and the politics of international law." (Vasuki Nesiah, New York University founding member of Third World Approaches to International Law (TWAIL))"Noura Erakat brings a sophisticated understanding of the role of international law over the last century in the Question of Palestine. This brilliant book will be of great interest to anyone seeking to understand why the outcome, thus far, to the disposition of the Palestine problem has not been a just one." (Rashid Khalidi author of The Hundred Years' War on Palestine: Settler-Colonial Conquest and Resistance, 1917-2017)"Noura Erakat's incisive exploration of the role of law in shaping the development of Israel/Palestine reveals the consistent genuflection of international legal institutions to Israel's reliance on well-established colonial practices. She also forcefully argues that the skillful use of international law as a tool of struggle can be generative of hope and possibility―for Palestine and the world. Justice for Some is precisely the book we need at this time." (Angela Y. Davis author of Freedom Is a Constant Struggle: Ferguson, Palestine, and the Foundations of a Movement)"Erakat's dissection of these legal and political histories is careful and captivating....This book asks that the Palestinian liberation struggle and Jewish-Israeli society each reckon with the impossibility of a two-state future, reimagining what their interests are―and what they could become. In rejecting the zero-sum formula's inevitability, Erakat sees, and demands, an alternative."––Amanda McCaffrey, Jewish Currents"Without any doubt, Justice for Some is the best book on the law and politics of the Palestine/Israel struggle―sophisticated, learned, humane, and creative. Noura Erakat makes a profound contribution to our general understanding of the paradoxical role of law in the contemporary world." (Richard Falk Former UN Special Rapporteur for Palestine, author of Palestine's Horizon: Toward a Just Peace)"Anyone wondering how and why international law has failed so miserably to curb Israeli violations in Palestine and the deleterious effect this has had on the law itself should read this book. Noura Erakat communicates...with the skill of a lawyer and the passion of an activist. Justice for Some is both enriching and inspiring." (Raja Shehadeh founder of Al-Haq, author of Where the Line Is Drawn: A Tale of Crossings, Friendships, and Fifty Years of Occupation in Israel-Palestine)"[A] major scholarly contribution to the critical literature devoted to resolving the Israel/Palestine struggle in line with the dictates of justice....[I] urge a careful reading of Justice for Some by all those interested in the Palestinian struggle as well as those curious about the way law works for and against human wellbeing."––Richard Falk, Mondoweiss Noura Erakat is a human rights attorney and assistant professor at George Mason University. She has served as legal counsel to the U.S. House of Representatives and as a legal advocate for Palestinian refugee rights at the United Nations. Noura's research interests include human rights and humanitarian, refugee, and national security law. She is a frequent commentator, with recent appearances on CBS News, CNN, Fox News, and NPR, among others, and her writings have been widely published in the national media and academic journals.

Justice in the Question of Palestine is often framed as a question of law. Yet none of the Israel-Palestinian conflict's most vexing challenges have been resolved by judicial intervention. Occupation law has failed to stem Israel's settlement enterprise. Laws of war have permitted killing and destruction during Israel's military offensives in the Gaza Strip. The Oslo Accord's two-state solution is now dead letter.

Justice for Some offers a new approach to understanding the Palestinian struggle for freedom, told through the power and control of international law. Focusing on key junctures―from the Balfour Declaration in 1917 to present-day wars in Gaza―Noura Erakat shows how the strategic deployment of law has shaped current conditions. Over the past century, the law has done more to advance Israel's interests than the Palestinians'. But, Erakat argues, this outcome was never inevitable.

Law is politics, and its meaning and application depend on the political intervention of states and people alike. Within the law, change is possible. International law can serve the cause of freedom when it is mobilized in support of a political movement. Presenting the promise and risk of international law, Justice for Some calls for renewed action and attention to the Question of Palestine.

Good read Enlightening book.Sincere and Crtitical Really enjoyed and informed my perception about the Palestine Question and the logical explanations to history events related to this Question, I really recommend anyone from any background to read and highlight the interesting analysis in this book, since they are strongly connected to the understanding of International law and its dimensions.

The Ash Moon (The Ariane Trilogy Book 1) Download

ISBN: B07KDRWDNH
Title: The Ash Moon (The Ariane Trilogy Book 1) Pdf

Start the trilogy today with this #1 Amazon Bestseller!

A kept secret. A life altered. A new journey.

Ariane lived her life one book at a time. She would never have guessed those books were about to change everything.

They led her to Orion.

Tall, dark, with eyes only for her. The rest of the world ceased to exist when Orion was around. But during a fateful ash moon, he shifted into a wolf. Ari thought she was dreaming, but she’d recognize those eyes anywhere.

Fiction became reality. Fantasy was actually history. And soon, Ari would learn her role in it.

A pack war was on the horizon, and she was the only one who could stop it.

Nothing would ever be as it once was, because Ariane was now part of the Avynwood Pack.

Absolutely loved this YA PNR!! I absolutely devoured this book. One of the best written paranormal offerings I’ve found this year. When Ariane, Paige, and Brayden go to the book signing of her favorite paranormal author Lealla Raines, Ari never expected to get an invitation to an exclusive after party held by the author. When she and her friends show up, she meets Orion. A stunningly handsome man, Rion only has eyes for Ari.Ari isn’t used to having someone interested in her. She has no friends outside of Paige and Brayden and is a practically invisible high school senior. She doesn’t stay that way for long when the students see Rion waiting outside of the school for her. After a private dinner with Lealla and Rion, Ari is let in on the huge secret. You see, all the stories that Lealla has written, the wolf shifter series, the bear shifter series, etc., are all real stories and Ari and Rion are fated mates. Lealla, a psychic, realized this when she met Ari.Ari doesn’t believe everything she’s told, I mean, c’mon. She’s a high school senior trying to figure out her life after graduation and here she is being told that there’s a whole world out there of paranormal creatures. Not only are there various animal shifters, but also add vampires, fairies, etc. Oh, and there’s a pack war brewing between the pack Rion belongs to and another pack that lives locally.Ari has to deal with all this plus more in the first book of what looks to be an amazing series. I can’t wait to read the next book. I’m anxiously waiting. If you love YA PNR, I definitely recommend this book. With an unusual storyline, wonderful, witty writing, and a cast of characters that keep you engaged and wanting more, this story has it all.Great series!! This is the first book of a brand new young adult paranormal series that I have totally fallen in love with and I need more immediately! I had never read anything young adult by this author before and I'm not even sure whether she's written any or not. If this is any indicator of how well she writes this genre, then I strongly hope she's going to keep it up! Ariane is a character that I can relate to in so many ways, as can many of us. I've been that girl at all of the author's book signings dragging the suitcase full of books behind me hoping to have them all signed. And yes, I've even been the one who brings entire series to have signed by each author. While reading this, I kept imagining what it would've been like to find out that one of my favorite series was not only real, but that I had a big part to play in it. Even thinking about this being a possibility is mind blowing. I have to give credit to this author. She came up with a pretty original idea that so many readers are going to be able to relate to and I love this. Orion is a pretty great guy and I felt he was perfect for Ariane. To be honest, my personal favorite character was Ford and I'm very much hoping that we'll be seeing much more of him in the future books in this series. This is a great beginning to what looks to be an amazing series that I highly recommend reading to anyone and I reviewed this for Just Raving Mad Reviewers.Amazing read! Its been some time since I've read a paranormal, and even longer since I've read YA. These are not genre's on my list of go to read but in this case...I couldn't have been happier that I made the leap for this new series. What did I like most about this book? Well at first it was the characters. I found them to believable and very easy to like but then the story line pulled me in and I couldn't put this book down because I wanted to find out what happened next.Ari is a strong lead. She's feisty and isn't one to back down easily especially when it comes to Orion, or Rion as the human is so nicknamed. Rion, oh Rion. A hot shifter wolf what more could you ask for. Well if you were Ari you could ask for all of his focus on you and you alone. You could ask for him to see you as the reason he was given life, to protect and love you. But you wouldn't need to. He is the type of guy any girl would swoon over. Wolf or not. And honestly out of all the male characters in this story I thought Rion was going to be it for me. That's until I met Ford.I think I would run out of words in the space of this review if I took the time to properly define Ford. So we'll settle for a few descriptive words. Hot, bad boy, in leather. As I hope you can tell, overall I loved this story. Can't wait for book 2.
